mommy daughter trip

Basically the second I got off the phone with my recruiter (for the phone interview) I was anxious to hear back! The 3 to 4 weeks that she quoted seemed like an eternity!!!

Luckily, my mom was craving a trip to WDW so we hopped over to Orlando for the weekend :D

Because we were on a budget, we didn't go to any parks or anything but it was still so much fun! I love mommy-daughter trips <3

On our way from the airport to Disney property we saw some crazy, beautiful clouds!!

We stayed at the POP Century hotel (our favorite value hotel!) I seriously love the smell and feel of that place...always makes me feel like I'm at home :D

When we made the reservation, only preferred rooms were available so we asked to be put in a refurbished room -- and we were! The room was awesome and it was sooo nice to be in a brand new room!

The next day we did a resort tour. We parked at the Polynesian and then rode the monorail around to the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary. Since we usually go to the parks, we never really took the time to go check out all the other resorts so it was fun to go see what they were all about! After that we decided to head to DTD for some lunch. We drove over to POR (our favorite moderate resort!) so that we could take the ferry over to DTD instead of driving...we were cracking up over the music changes!! When you start at POR, the speakers on the boat are playing nice bayou music but as soon as you cross into the DTD area we heard Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" hahaha

We had lunch at Earl of Sandwich (of course) and it was delicious (of course). We shared the caprese sandwich :)

This post is getting sort of long so I'm going to wrap it up :) The other things that we did on this short trip included laying at the pool, walking around DTD, sushi and drinks, watching Wishes from the Poly beach (which is amazing!!) and checking out the apartments for the DCP.

I'll end with a few more pictures :)

xoxo,

Natasha
