fall is fabulous

I freaking love fall.
One of my favorite places ever {Disneyland} is cuter in the fall.
I like to try new recipes in the fall. This week we had these amazing sweet pork tacos from Just Cook Already. {they have a fun fall giveaway going on right now, go check it out!}Next time I will cut down on the brown sugar but everything else was perfect. And the cilantro-ranch dressing? To.Die.For. Seriously, go make these!
I also want to make these mini caramel apples:
I love going to the pumpkin patch.
Carving pumpkins is fun but I think this year I'm taking a different approach, something like these decoupaged pumpkins from Country Living
After carving the pumpkins, I'm going to make some toasted pumpkin seeds.
I also love fall because it's the season that I fell in love with this guy:
{he's wonderful}
Days are warm, nights are cool, the holidays are right around the corner. There is good food to be eaten, great new shows to watch {more about this later}, and fun decorations to be put up.
Yea, I freaking love fall...do you?

wedding wednesday: shoes

shoes.omg shoes {anyone remember this youtube video? hahaha}
This week is all about the shoes. Since Alex is awesome and subscribes to my blog {hi babe!} I will not be posting a picture of the shoes that I chose for the wedding. What I will do is show you some pictures of other shoes that I love and would consider wearing in/to a wedding.

And just for fun...here are Alex's shoes for the wedding:
Which ones are your favorite?

bridal shower

Last weekend my mom and her friend Leslie hosted a Hawaiian-themed bridal shower for me - it was SO much fun!
The backyard looked amazing.
The food {and drink!} was delicious.
The company was great.

The gifts were exciting.
{especially that one}
Thank you to all my friends and family that were able to be there, I love you all!

wedding wednesday: rings

Happy Wednesday!
This week's wedding post is all about the bling. I absolutely LOVE my engagement ring -- there isn't one thing I would change about it. Here is a picture...
Every time I look down at it I start smiling like a fool. It's wonderful.
Not too long ago I got Alex's ring. It's manly {and pretty}.
Still not sure on what I will get for my wedding band. I definitely want a mismatched set. Here are some pictures of what I mean...

Which one is your favorite?

good luck

My brother had his interview for the Disney College Program last night! It sounded like the interview went well. If he is accepted he will be there for the Spring 2012 program.

Now we wait. {I think I'm more anxious than he is}
If you have a second, send him some good vibes.

xoxo,

Natasha

wedding wednesday: cake

I love pinterest.
Especially the wedding/event boards.
Maybe a little too much.
Which brings me to this week's wedding wednesday topic: cake

According to my quick Wikipedia research, the tradition of a wedding cake dates back to the Roman Empire. Thankfully, the tradition has changed a little since then {no more breaking the cake over the brides head!} but it can still be
really fun part of a wedding ceremony!

Since our wedding is somewhat nontraditional, we wont be doing a classic cake cutting ceremony at the luau reception but we will still have a small cake waiting for us in our room that was included in our package{along with a bottle of champagne!}

Since I wont be going through the whole picking a cake process, I have to do the next best thing which is drool over other people's beautiful cakes! This is where pinterest comes in. Here are some of my favorites:
Which one would you choose? {did Rebecca Black's song just get stuck in your head? Mine too...}

good ol' abe

I know this is totally weird, but I have a history crush on Abe Lincoln.
He has always been my favorite...
he was smart...
and cute too!

right?
oh...and I like the things he said
like this:

"Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."

emelia adele

I'm an auntie :)
Amber, Alex's sister, had her baby yesterday. I was SO bummed that I had to work and wasn't able to make it for her actual birthday but Alex and I went to Santa Barbara today so I could meet her.
She is so precious.
Little Emmy is very lucky to have Amber and Erik as her parents. I wish the three of them nothing but a life full of love and happiness.
